How to print a cursive worksheet

Make a practice sheet with your own letters or words, check the page preview, then match the paper and scale in your browser’s print dialog. The worksheet maker is free and works in your browser.

Open the worksheet maker

Set up the practice sheet

  1. Enter a line that fits

Start with a name, a few letters, or a short sentence in the worksheet maker. For ready-made alphabet, word, and sentence starters, open guided cursive worksheets. A long line may wrap; shorten it before printing if the preview looks crowded.

  2. Choose the rows and paper

Choose US Letter or A4, then select Trace or Copy. Trace repeats light lettering on each row; Copy shows one dark model and blank guided rows. Pick 1–8 practice rows and a text size that leaves writing space.

  3. Inspect the on-page preview

Check that the letters are legible and stay inside the guide lines. The preview is scaled to fit your screen, so its physical size is not the final print size. Reduce the text size or shorten the line if it wraps.

  4. Check the browser print dialog

Press Print worksheet. In the print dialog, select the same paper size you chose on the site. Review the page count, scale, margins, and final preview before printing. If the writing is clipped or split across pages, return to the maker and shorten the text, reduce its size, or use fewer rows.

Printing or saving a copy

The site prints through your browser; it does not generate a downloadable PDF file. If your browser offers Save as PDF in its print dialog, you can choose that destination and check the resulting page before sharing it. The text you enter stays in your browser while the sheet is prepared.

Only practicing letters today? The printable cursive alphabet worksheet has separate lowercase and uppercase A–Z starters and short letter joins. For a custom name or sentence, return to the worksheet maker.
